I had a mixed experience at this resort. While the location was splendid for golfing and the courses were in great shape, the accommodations were in dire need of updates. The service was hit-or-miss, with some staff being welcoming and others seeming disinterested. Overall, it could be a fantastic place if they made some necessary improvements.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were old and worn, with the air conditioning not keeping the space cool enough during my stay. They could really use some updates and maintenance.
Service
6.0
The front desk staff was lovely, but some of the other personnel acted as if we were a bother. It was a mix of helpful and uninterested service.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic, positioned right within golfing paradise, making it perfect for easy access to the courses.
Dining
5.0
Dining was somewhat disappointing. The breakfast options were limited and not very appealing, but I enjoyed the nachos and drinks at the bar.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were tired and needed serious upgrades. The common areas looked worn out, which detracted from the experience.

This inn has great potential with its beautiful architecture and historical charm, but sadly, it falls short on maintenance and cleanliness. My stay was marred by unpleasant odors and shabby conditions, which made the experience uncomfortable. The location is decent if you're keen on the nearby golf courses, but I wouldn't recommend staying here unless absolutely necessary.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were quite shabby, with poor air conditioning and lots of uneven furniture. The musty smell of mold lingered in the air, which made it hard to enjoy my time inside.
Service
7.0
While the staff was welcoming and accommodating, it felt like they were overwhelmed by the state of the hotel as they indicated they have been asking for updates and repairs for years.
Location
6.0
The inn is about halfway between two well-known golf courses, making it a decent spot for golfers looking to play at Pine Needles and Mid Pines.

Facilities

The facilities felt neglected and poorly maintained. Filthy carpets and questionable cleanliness throughout made the experience less than enjoyable.

I was really looking forward to our stay at this hotel, especially for the golf, but I was quite disappointed. The location is pretty good for accessing the courses, but the condition of the rooms left a lot to be desired. They were musty and looked like they hadn't seen a refresh in decades. I was grateful for the staff's efforts, but overall it felt very run-down. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet my expectations, and I would recommend looking for other options nearby.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were musty and dated, with carpets that looked like they were from the 1970s. They are quite shabby and lacked proper air conditioning.
Service
6.0
The staff was accommodating when checking in and helped us with our bags, but they didn't seem very enthusiastic, possibly because of illness.
Location
8.0
The location is fantastic for accessing the nearby golf courses, making it convenient for a golf trip.
Dining

The breakfast was a letdown—a frozen egg patty and canned fruit didn't meet my expectations.
Facilities

The overall facilities felt worn down and neglected, which detracted from the experience.

The golf resort offers an excellent golfing experience with three well-maintained courses, but the accommodations need serious upgrades. The service was inconsistent, particularly during check-in, and the facility's overall condition felt rather outdated. While the price for the package is a good deal, the quality of the rooms was quite disappointing, impacting my overall experience.

Rooms
5.0
The 'Villa' we stayed in was certainly shabby and in dire need of renovation. The bathrooms were unclean and original to the 50s, and the hot water was only available for one guest despite having eight people.
Service
5.0
The check-in process was chaotic, and the front desk staff seemed unmotivated. There were bright spots with the cart guys and halfway house staff being very helpful and friendly, but overall, the service lacked consistency.
Location
7.0
Its location is convenient for accessing great golf courses, making it a desirable spot for golf enthusiasts. However, it lacks other attractions or amenities close by.
Dining
5.0
The breakfast was more of a limited menu rather than a buffet, and the quality was not impressive. However, the nachos I had at the bar were decent, and the bar staff was efficient.
Facilities
5.0
The resort’s facilities overall felt very tired and worn out. The common areas need renovation, and the inn had a musty smell. The lack of basic amenities like hot water for multiple guests is a significant downside.

I had high hopes for this resort, especially with its history and connection to great golf courses, but I found the accommodations lacking. The staff seemed to do their best, but the aging buildings and outdated amenities fell short of expectations. While the location is convenient for golfers, the poor condition of the rooms and limited dining options left much to be desired.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms were quite shabby and definitely needed some maintenance. The air conditioning was poor, and there was no elevator, making it tough to carry our bags up the stairs in the heat.
Service
7.0
The staff was very welcoming, and I appreciated their efforts in assisting us with our bags and managing our golf club transfers. However, they seemed overworked and not always available when needed.
Location
8.0
The resort is conveniently located between Southern Pines and Pinehurst, making it perfect for accessing the golf courses in the area.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was not up to scratch. Breakfast was basic and unappetizing, which was a letdown given the potential of this place.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities felt outdated, with apparent wear and tear throughout the property, making them less inviting.
